THE INGREDIENTS

All the ingredients that go into the DU’IT functioning creams are thoroughly derived, without the use of chemicals and non-natural products. Durable and effective, DU’IT offers all-natural ingredients that soothe and repair dry to very dry, as well as rough and irritated kin.

UREA

UREA

What is this?

A component of the natural moisturising factor produced by the skin. A humectant which can absorb moisture from the environment and draw it to the skin. It is also an emollient that can soften and smooth the skin.

What does it do?

It helps to improve the appearance of patches of dry, rough, and scaly skin by providing hydration to smooth texture and helps thin the build-up of dead skin cells. Its humectant properties make it an ideal ingredient for dry skin. It provides moisturising and skin-softening effects on thick, rough or calloused skin such as feet, knees, and elbows.

Vitamin-E

VITAMIN E

What is this?

An antioxidant that helps to protect the skin from damage from free radicals that contribute largely to premature aging. A fat-soluble, essential nutrient with anti-inflammatory properties, it helps to ward off UV damage to the skin, thus reducing the signs of aging like fine lines, wrinkles and brown spots.

 What does it do?

Also known as a skin nourisher, Vitamin E helps to moisturise and protect against the effects of free radical damage from the sun.

ALPHA-HYDROXY ACIDS (AHAs)

ALPHA-HYDROXY ACIDS (AHAs)

What is this?

AHAs are water-soluble and preferred for use on normal to dry, sun-damaged skin due to their ability to enhance natural moisturising factors within the skin. They are effective on oily or congested skin, acne, wrinkles, general skin texture and tone (pigmentation).

 What does it do?

AHAs provide exfoliation by dissolving the bonds between skin cells for the removal of dead cells and subsequently smoother skin surface, eliminating the use of harsh scrubs for exfoliation.

GLYCERIN

GLYCERIN

What is this?

A humectant found naturally in skin that helps it to maintain a soft, moisturised, and healthy look. It is used topically in combination with other emollients and antioxidants with proven effectiveness in restoring the skin. As it mimics skin’s natural moisturising factor, it is compatible with all skin types, of all ages.

What does it do?

Primarily, glycerine hydrates the skin and helps it to hold on to moisture. It also helps to shield skin from environmental sources of irritation, improves skin’s resiliency and youthful look as well as enhancing the penetration of other ingredients into the skin’s uppermost layers.

DIMETHICONE

DIMETHICONE

What is this?

A silicone-based polymer frequently used as a skin protectant in skincare products, dimethicone has skin-conditioning properties and helps to improve skin’s softness and flexibility. A skin protectant at certain levels, dimethicone is especially useful for skin that needs an additional barrier to help prevent moisture from escaping.

What does it do?

Dimethicone forms a barrier on skin, helping to moisturise it by reducing water loss and thus improve the skin’s smoothness and flexibility by filling gaps between the cells in the uppermost layer of the skin.

NIACINAMIDE

NIACINAMIDE

What is this?

Also known as Vitamin B3, niacinamide is a popular cosmetic ingredient in skincare formulations for acne, eczema, rosacea and skin discolouration. It is also known to help reduce the visible effects of environmental damage so the skin can appear healthier and more radiant.

What does it do?

Niacinamide soothes and helps to restore the skin barrier, which can help to reduce moisture loss and dehydration. Its versatility makes it compatible with other skincare ingredients and can be used on many skin types to address a variety of concerns such as dryness, tightness, and flakiness.

PEPTIDES

PEPTIDES

What is this?

Peptides are fragments of proteins which are the fundamental building blocks of skin. Peptides provide significant anti-aging benefits because without it, the skin doesn’t remain intact, resulting in the loss of firmness, appearance of wrinkles, and skin that is not as bouncy as it once did.

What does it do?

Peptides can increase collagen production which gives the skin a firm, smooth, and youthful appearance. Their main function is smoothing wrinkles or repairing the barrier function to increase firmness and hydration.
